Dear Leaders/Elders of Westside Church
We are grateful to hear that you are interested in potential partnership and collaboration with us. We as a church, value such links and relationships in the Kingdom of God, and believe that when we come together, we reflect the Trinitarian Love that God has in Himself and for the World. And we become God’s instrument for the advancement of the Gospel and God’s restorative power in this world.
As a church in this city – Skopje, Macedonia – we are involved in multiple efforts, projects and ministries for the Gospel of Jesus.
Some of these projects are seasonal and time limited. So the timing of your potential visit might affect the possibility of involvement. Here is a brief depiction of some, that we might be able to collaborate on.
Some those projects are:

- “Retweet a Meal”. (All year round): This is a civic initiative that is based on volunteering and donations for feeding the homeless in Skopje. As a church, we are one of the main partners of this initiative, and we are helping facilitate the cooking every Friday in our church. We prepare around 150 meals here, + another 200 are donated from other services. Every week we have different volunteers, so cooking with new peoplelso a great chance of getting to know them and sharing our faith with them. We have been doing this for over 7 years now and have had significant amounts of food delivered to the poorest in Skopje and also developed some significant relationships and partnerships with lots of organizations, companies, and state ministers, which enables us to further advance the cause for the poor in our country. You can check out this documentary regarding “Retweet a Meal” to give you a better understanding of every week is a the initiative - (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnHIWWBZzKk)
- “Little Friends” (one off project - http://littlefriends.info/) Little friends is a pre-school run by the church in one of the poorest neighborhoods in Europe. The pre-school is located in Shutka. Shutka is the largest Roma-Gypsy neighborhood in Europe, with population over 40.000 and very poor conditions for living. The pre-school has about 20 children daily. They have bible based program and teach kids biblical values and principles. The pre-school has only finances for about 3 people salaries and food for the kids. The maintaining of the facilities is mainly done by church mission teams when they come and put their effort into fixing, painting, decorating the yard and so on. Another thing that is running parallel next to the pre-school is a partnering Roma church that cooks for the street kids of Shutka every morning. We help them out with food resources and join them in the cooking too occasionally.
- Evangelism and apologetics (seasonal projects): We are running and partnering with others in different kinds of Evangelism efforts in our city and in our country. A lot of this events are based on building relationships after the event but being here for one part of it could be effective as well.
Some those projects are:
- IFES (International Fellowship of Evangelical Students)
- We are partners, and I am part of the board of IFES – Macedonia and their main goal is to equip and encourage believers who are students to be intentional evangelists in their campuses. We could organize an evangelism event or training for students if this is something you feel called into.
- Alpha Course
- Alpha Course is an 8-week course (modified version) where people come to explore the foundational believes of Christianity. This course responds to the questions “Does God exist? – Who is Jesus Christ? – Why was he killed? – Is there Life after death? – Does life have meaning or not?” and so on.
- Young Life (all year round - https://www.facebook.com/younglifeskopje/ )
- You might be familiar with Young Life since is origins are in the states, but it’s a wonderful organization that is trying to reach out to high school students (and younger). We are also partnering with this organization and few of our members are part of the organization. They have a weekly club where young kids come, have fun and listen to short talk about Jesus.
- Young Life Camp (summer camp)
- In the summer, the whole year-round activities culminate in 6 days spend together at a camp site. Lots of activities, fun and time spent together. Every evening there is “The Talk” where each night it builds to a call and invitation to the young kids to start a life with Jesus. This has been one of the most successful programs for reaching out young Muslim kids in Macedonia. Ideal for late teenage and young adult volunteers.
